HOW DOES IT WORK
When you close the padlock, the locking bar grips the slot on the short end of the neck, locking the neck in place. Without the key in the lock, the three pins are connected to the three pins of the pin, preventing the body of the lock from rotating. When you insert the key, the key teeth push the pins out so that their ends align with the outer edges of the lock body. This releases the body of the lock so that you can turn it with the key. The rotation of the lock pulls back the locking bar, releasing the U-shaped neck, which is then pushed upwards by its springs.
